Sam Adams New Spring Mixed pack

Beer Included:

Black Lager

Irish red

Boston Lager

Alpine Spring Ale

Mighty Oak Ale

Whitewater IPA

When I think of sam adams I think of their boston lager and good seasonals. I always felt Sam adams was lacking a great IPA. Here it finally is with the whitewater IPA. The new spring seasonal from sam adams, the alpine spring, is a great new spring seasonal.

I was bummed not to see noble pils this year, but the most fantastic news is that the noble pils is going to be a year round beer as of march 2012!! This is very exciting because I have been looking for my go to, year round favorite beer and I always thought it would be noble pils because I tend to switch weekly favorites a lot. So, not only do they have a great new spring seasonal, but my favorite sam adams beer as an all year round beer. I couldn't ask for more!!

Dogfish head 120 minute IPA

As a huge fan of Dogfish head beer, trying almost all of there beers the one I hadn't tried yet was the 120 minute IPA. After searching and waiting for years I finally found this beer.

At over 20% abv this is one strong beer! I love my IPAs and this one is truly like no other. To balance out the high alcohol content and high bitterness, there is a lot of sweetness and high carbonation. This one is a beer that you have to sip slowly like a bourbon or cognac. I was impressed with this beer and it was worth the wait and price!

This is one of the best Winter beers I have had in a long time. A nice change up from the winter lager or dark winter ales, this red ale is the a great balanced red ale with a lot of flavor

Homemade Mac N Cheese

What better way to beat the cold days of the year than with homemade mac n cheese.

I start with a roux of butter and flour and then add cream or milk and melt sharp cheddar cheese into a thick cheese sauce. I like to add a dash of white pepper and dijon mustard for and extra zing.

Once I have my cheese sauce, I mix it with shells and put it in a greased casserole dish. I put more shredded cheese on top and crumbled ritz crackers. Sounds a bit strange but my wife introduced me to the idea and it is excellent.

Bake it until bubbly and you can even broil the top to crisp the crackers. Enjoy!
